LAUNCHING A PRODUCT WON'T BE EASY SOON!
LAUNCHING A PRODUCT WON'T BE EASY SOON!
.
Hey everyone, I hope you'll be doing good!
.
We all know that the 2nd quarter of the year is ending and we are stepping into the 3rd quarter. The upcoming quarter will last from July to September.
These are the last golden times in a year to work on a launch otherwise once September passes and October arrives, it gets close to impossible to launch a product.
.
The e-commerce giant breaks its own sales record every year in this brief 3-month window (October to December). In 2019, Amazon generated total net sales of $87.44 billion in Q4, $125.6 billion in 2020 and $137.4 billion in 2021. This year, the number is expected to cross the $150 billion mark.
.
Those who have launched the golden products recently or working on their launches have chosen the most suitable time for their launch since it takes a couple of months to rank your product and by the time you'll be ranked well, you'll enjoy high sales season on Amazon.
.
It is also the time when you need to monitor your listings and liquidate them or revamp them if they are not performing well since soon Amazon will double the storage fee to clear up the stocks. The sales of average products decrease during these times while sales of valuable products increase multiple folds.
.
According to most sellers, their revenue for the rest of the year is still less than what they earn during the last 3 months. The reason why this happens is due to encompassing key dates in the eCommerce calendar including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
.
For those who are already selling on Amazon, here are 11 tips to prepare yourself before Q4 so you get the most out of this high-selling season:
Switch to FBA if you're doing FBM since FBA sellers have the opportunity to participate in tons of sales during this season.
Have a grip on FBM along with FBA since it's possible that sales will boost and you won't be able to keep track of FBA so you may be required to dispatch the products yourselves too.
If your brand is registered on Amazon, spend time on your A+ content and update them with relevant branding information and features.
Do all the A/B testing regarding your listing during Q3, not later than that.
Start PPC campaigns earlier so you won't have to test your campaigns during Q4.
Enhance your brand awareness. Go aggressive on this. Use other social media platforms to help you increase your reach.
Keep your promotions ready to apply right as you get a chance during Q4.
Manage your inventory. If you know your products will be sold in bulk, then keep extra stock ready and also, talk to your supplier so you don't face shipment issues if you go out of stock.
January can be almost as busy and profitable as December when many shoppers use those Amazon gift cards to get what they wanted for Christmas. The January sales are still a huge part of the retail calendar, so ensure you’ve got plenty of stock left in the new year.
Watch out for increased returns since more sales mean more returns. Keep a strong check on the quality your supplier is providing.
Be ready for the unexpected. Although, the fourth quarter is usually the window to a seller’s largest payday. But, things don’t always go according to plan, so make sure you have a plan B.
.
Some key dates to remember:
October 31 – Halloween
November 5 – Bonfire Night
November 24 – Thanksgiving
November 25 – Black Friday
November 28 – Cyber Monday
December 1 – Last-minute Christmas Shopping begins
December 26 – Boxing Day sales
December 31 – New Years Eve
.
My concluding note regarding this will be that for those who are planning to start selling on Amazon, you shouldn't delay in deciding otherwise your launch can be delayed till 2023. And those who are already selling, get prepared for upcoming times and do the changes where required.
